Kindra Harvey, CES, Artistic Director

I've been dancing since I could walk.  I've competed in many competitions, attended many conventions, and have been trained extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop.  My specialties are hip-hop and tap, however, ballet is definitely my favorite because it lays the groundwork for all other types of movement.  The dedication and focus it requires
provides such a feeling of achievement.  I began my teaching experience as a college student.  I spent two years studying at Missouri State University in their dance program as well as teaching class before transferring to Missouri Southern State University to pursue my degree in exercise science.  In between that time, I've taught all types of dance at local studios, hip-hop at the Wal-Mart Fitness Center, and choreographed award winning choreography for local pageants including a precursor pageant to Miss Oklahoma.  My education as a Clinical Exercise Specialist has made me a better choreographer and dance instructor.  I've sought out experiences that have brought a lot of opportunity and education to my dance experience. I've had the ability to learn from some of the best dancers and choreographers in the industry, having taken classes from such talents as:

  • Wade Robson-Wade Robson Project, You Got Served
  • Dan Karaty-So You Think You Can Dance
  • Allison Faulk-You Got Served, Be Cool, dancer for Janet Jackson's World Tour
  • Marty Dew-You Got Served

Their education has propelled me to bring something new to our area in dance instruction and I'm excited to work with my kids to be able to provide those experiences for them to cherish for a lifetime.
