Miss Shelby

Shelby Walsh brings over 20 years of dance training, 5 years of teaching experience, and 4 years of professional performance experience with Confluence Ballet Company to the studio. She holds a B.A. in Dance Performance, Pedagogy, and Choreography from Seton Hill University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors from the National Honors Society of Dance Arts. Throughout her teaching career, Shelby has had the opportunity to educate dancers of all ages and levels, as well as choreograph for both recreational and competitive dancers.

Shelby’s teaching philosophy centers around creating a positive, supportive environment where dancers feel comfortable being challenged, making mistakes, and discovering their own artistic voice. She believes strong technical training and artistry should go hand in hand, and strives to help each dancer develop as both a performer and a confident, creative individual. With her background as a professional performer and educator, Shelby is passionate about helping dancers recognize their potential, celebrate their individuality, and develop a genuine love for dance.
