Miss Sophia

Miss Sophia has been dancing for over 20 years and began her dance training at Summer's Academy of Dance at the age of 2. After moving to Indiana, she studied at Fort Wayne Ballet where she trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, and character. During her time there, she was a part of several youth and professional ballet productions such as The Nutcracker and Cinderella. She moved to the Pittsburgh Area in high school where she continued her dance training at The Ballet Academy of Pittsburgh, Thomas Dance Studio, and at her high school where she had the opportunity to train in contemporary and choreograph for multiple school productions. She was also a part of her high school colorguard/dance team as well as several musical theater productions such as Legally Blonde where she served as the dance captain.

After high school, she went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Forensic Science with a minor in Dance from West Virginia University. There, she took dance classes focusing on ballet, tap, jazz, and choreography. 

Sophia just recently moved back to the Pittsburgh area with her husband and is very excited to share her love of dance. She hopes to inspire young dancers to develop strong foundational skills and their own love for the art form.
